Crossing Voices

Counterpart theory advises against crossing voices. Indeed it is difficult to follow a tones sequence through a cross-over. You can experiment with this in the example circuit.
Try to follow, for instance, the upward going sequence through the cross-over. It will be difficult to not be confused by the other voice. Only after the crossing will you be able to jump to the further upward going voice.
At slower tempos however, you may find it possible to follow either sequence through the crossover.
